The spritz began in 19th-century northern Italy when Austro-Hungarian soldiers diluted local wine with sparkling water. At the same time, elderflower syrup was a beloved drink ingredient across Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. This recipe unites both legacies into a sparkling, floral drink perfect for warm days.
Ingredients (for 2 servings)

100 ml elderflower syrup

200 ml sparkling water

200 ml dry white or sparkling wine (Prosecco or Cava)

1 slice orange

1 slice lemon

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves
Instructions:
